As a Fellow, you’ll help test new concepts, analyze emerging technologies, and provide recommendations that influence force design and modernization.

  • Validate concepts through live-force exercises

The MCWL Fellowship Program brings together exceptional Marines to plan, execute, and analyze live-force experiments in support of MCWL’s mission.

Fellows will:

  • Develop and test future warfighting concepts
  • Analyze new technologies and capabilities
  • Innovate tactics, training, and structure
  • Provide recommendations for Marine Corps force design

Rank / MOS

  • Active duty Corporals through Lieutenant Colonels and Warrant Officers
  • MOS-specific requirements are in the MARADMIN (similar experience may qualify)

Experience

  • Competitive for promotion
  • Recent operational experience and MOS credibility preferred

Education

  • PME complete for grade (additional education a plus)

Endorsement

  • Must notify Chain of Command and include O-5-level endorsement

Clearance

  • Secret or higher

Medical / Legal

  • Full duty status, no pending legal actions

Soft Skills

  • Comfortable engaging with senior military and civilian leadership

Fellows directly contribute to Marine Corps modernization by:

  • Planning, executing, and analyzing concept-based live-force experiments
  • Supporting the Experiment Division (EXDIV) and CD&I with data-driven recommendations
  • Participating in exercises across multiple locations
  • Driving innovation that informs the future of warfighting
